Bulk DePalletizer
High Level Bulk Depalletizer
The Sentry Bulk Depalletizer is designed to receive bulk loads of empty glass, PET, or aluminum containers on wooden or plastic pallets, and transfer each layer (one at a time) onto an accumulating take-away conveyor for transportation to the production area.
These machines are available in high and low level models and can be custom built to accommodate the customer's pallet size. Three full pallet infeed staging zones are provided as a standard. Each machine includes automatic pallet stacking and dunnage removal. Optional dunnage sortation is available.
The speed of the machines will vary depending on the product. However, a single Sentry Bulk Depalletizer will provide a continuous supply of product to PET Bottle Fillers at speeds up to 1000 bottles per minute and Can Fillers up to 1800 cans per minute.
Hoist frame is constructed from heavy-duty formed steel with cross bracing. Elevator platform is supported on all four corners by pre-stretched #80 roller chain. The hoist platform is raised and lowered by a 4000lb capacity servo drive.
Sideframes are constructed from heavy gauge sheet metal and support (3) #80 pitch roller chains. Conveyor is equipped with sensor to automatically position the full pallet inside the hoist chamber prior to depalletizing. The hoist conveyor is driven by a Eurodrive constant speed gearmotor.
Options include operator platform, additional pallet infeed zones, plastic band chipper and processor upgrading.

Pallet Stacker
The Pallet Stacker receives empty pallets from the Empty Pallet Conveyor and stacks them utilizing Photo-Eyes and Proximities to raise and lower an internal Scissor Lift. Once the Stacker reaches its capacity, the Stacker Door is opened and a forklift operator removes the stack of pallets and the door is shut again.
Dunnage Bins
As each pallet layer is raised up within the Hoist, the Top Frame and/or Tier Sheets are removed and conveyed to the appropriate Dunnage Bin. Photo-Eyes will signal the Blue Beacon on the Stack Light to visually alert the operator that the Dunnage Bin is full and in need of being emptied by a forklift operator.
In-Feed Conveyor
Full pallets are received from a Transfer Conveyor onto the In-Feed Conveyor where it will be transferred onto the Hoist Conveyor. The pallets are conveyed utilizing photo-eyes which keeps pallets moving continuously without overlapping.
Hoist
Full pallets are loaded into the Hoist via the Hoist Conveyor from the full pallet In-Feed Conveyor. A series of Photo-Eyes & Proximities are utilized to control the Hoist procedures.
Once loaded with a full pallet the Hoist Doors close and the Hoist Lift raises the full pallet to begin the depalletizing process.
The Hoist sequentially raises the pallet and removes the layers of containers from the pallet. After removing all containers and dunnage, the Hoist Lift will lower the empty pallet down to the Hoist Conveyor, and discharges it to the Empty Pallet Stacker.
Accumulation Bed
The Accumulation Bed moves the containers swept from the pallet and transfers them to a collection point.
Photo-Eyes are used to keep the product from overlapping while still providing a continuous supply. The product will be transferred to the downstream conveyor system for further processing.
Trolley Assembly
The Trolley Assembly transports the Tiersheet / Top Frame Remover from a pallet in the Hoist to the corresponding Dunnage Bins and then back again.
Sweep Assembly
The Sweep Bar advances the current layer from the Hoist area onto the Accumulation Bed.
